My search for a pen and paper proved fruitless. I knew I’d never retain that twelve digit number until my arrival, so I did the next best thing. I etched it on the side of an available banana with a pointy object, stowed my data and climbed on the waiting bus.

Some days are just chock-full of tiny details; like a can of mixed nuts. I like those days.
For example, today I learned that the US government is formally dropping charges that were pending against an old bearded fellow. No, not Santa Claus… Osama. Seems that the attorney general has realized that he won’t be brought to trial, due to circumstances beyond control. Is this what happens when a reality check takes place?

You don’t have to be a grouchy old man to notice when politicians forget to play by the rules. My kids can tell the difference. A couple of examples.

In my fiscally conservative world, I have renounced buying a new MP3 player. Instead, I’ve recycled my son’s old one into a new role. If the battery hangs tough, I’ve avoided the inevitable spiral towards something from Apple Corp.
