My triggers for “anticipation about a new TV program” may differ from others; there’s something coming up on CBC that uses Morse code in the trailer. How often does that happen?

How large is your circle? Does it go beyond your personal horizon?
One of the neat things about getting (gradually) older is that you start to drag a long cord of “personal history” around. After all, you had to live somewhere, and there had to be other people in your orbit. Start trying to make a connected list of the people that sat behind you in math class, or caught your school bus. Then, play with that whole “Where are they now?” reality show script.

The Scotties is set up with an interesting format: round robin followed by elimination playoffs. Gives a team with a weak moment a chance to regather forces. Tonight, as the announcer said, “It’s Monday night in Moose Jaw.” And for me, a few hours of really great spectator-curling (should be an Olympic event…)

For those involved in a substantial storm down east, I am with you in spirit. Seriously. I would have my shovel in standby mode, waiting for the winds to stop moving the target around (and around and around). Here, we’ve got nothin’!

Sometimes, they just get it right. I know, an undefined pronoun (or two). Work through… On TV, tonight, I’ll get to see the sixth episode of a miniseries based on The Book of Negroes by Lawrence Hill. Which, for the record, I’ve read and found worth recommending to others. The transition from ink to screen (old school definition, here) is often awkward; not this time around. With the wonders of the PVR, this one might merit a rewatch.

Not much going on here. The dog is on my bed, I’m on his couch. Equilibrium.
Had to do a double take, when son #3 put on his outside protection and told us he was off to enjoy Carnaval. Usually, the locals avoid such diversion after the first time. He must be helping a tourist…

I’m back on the leading edge of technology. Or will be, if I can find a box.
Not just any box, though. This one has to serve as the container for my new Raspberry Pi 2 (which is going to share network space with the R-Pi B that came into the house a few seasons ago. The two are subtly different, as far as connector count, so a new case is in order.
