Repeat until something gives out
For those involved in a substantial storm down east, I am with you in spirit. Seriously. I would have my shovel in standby mode, waiting for the winds to stop moving the target around (and around and around). Here, we’ve got nothin’!
That the bridge to the Island is a sign that they’re into something special in weather terms. Or it could be a last ditch defence against mainland marauders, intent on the stores of #stormchips.
Actually, my shoulders and back are a little sore right now. Spent the afternoon involved in a repetitive operation, and there are muscle groups with too much to say, in reaction. Tomorrow, I won’t need to abuse the system, but between now and midnight I’ve still got things to “do”. Actions that are simple the first time through are less so after a couple of hundred repeats.
I keep thinking that there’s something worthwhile on TV this evening, but the controller is in the hands of another. This is where I wait for a prime time miracle.
Added to my list of “things to discover”: Has the water from the new well been tested by the government? Is the radon detection/evacuation system in place ( or do we even need one). More things I can’t do vicariously…
Another day older, which is a kind way of stating that no packing was done. Is “tomorrow” a word to remove from the operative vocabulary? Or is the slow progress normal, given the winter conditions? Will I look back, filled with regret that I took life “easy”?
