Need a new box
I’m back on the leading edge of technology. Or will be, if I can find a box.
Not just any box, though. This one has to serve as the container for my new Raspberry Pi 2 (which is going to share network space with the R-Pi B that came into the house a few seasons ago. The two are subtly different, as far as connector count, so a new case is in order.
The variety of case forms is actually a tribute to the ingenuity of hobbyists, and although I’d really like to go with a custom Lego effort, there aren’t enough blocks available. Kids grown up, etc. No need to rush into things. I’ll shop for a bit, and look for the recommendations left by others. Also, the camera module hasn’t been ordered, which precludes certain options.
We received our fire insurance invoice (for the next house), with both of our names misspelled. What can I add?
Son #3 has his virtual feathers ruffled, over something as insignificant as an industry awards ceremony. Yes, I know that real talent lies outside of mainstream. Yes, I know that the winners don’t reflect “the best”. It doesn’t matter; we weren’t (and won’t be) invited to attend the gala. If we fail to tune in, nobody else will know. I’ve grown old knowing that lists of best sellers ignore the real pearl, no matter the domain. And my apple pie is just as yummy…
Another departure from the federal cabinet. Leave the door open; others will wander off, and we can simply get new talent in… nine months!
