Testing my limited patience

Certain anniversaries almost pass unnoticed. The newscast, this evening brought one to mind. Just over thirty years ago, I almost “got blowed up, real good”. Saved by eating breakfast. Long story, rendered caduque by the passage of time. It involved the Pope, as a plus.

Double occupancy

There. Another of my work problems has been fixed. The school with no telephone service (for ten days) received an unadvertised visit from a phone guy either Friday or this morning. Now the phone system rings through. I am impressed. Or not.

Science of stupid

A special thanks to the NatGeo web channel, for offering me hours and hours of stupidity mixed with science. Seriously. Back flow of advice

Part of the job description for parents, once past that initial nurturing phase is teaching. Or, as those in the cheap seats refer to it, lecturing. Giving advice, in firehouse quantities.

My life needs a banana box

Found myself going through a gallery of snowstorm photos and wondering if my mental state is deteriorating rapidly. Come on! There’s at least a month and a half before that becomes a consideration. So Canadian!

A mental packer

Today, being the national holiday of Labour Day, there’s a certain irony that I get do as little as possible. Everything of any size is closed (in the retail domain). Food depends on what we have on hand; pasta will replace potatoes, come supper time.
