Shredded history

The iPad is filling up. I might have to dump some of the apps that do things, or chuck out some of the virtual magazines. How like real life is that?

Received a new lens today. After long reflection, I decided to add a 500mm mirror lens with a 2X teleconverter. According to the reviews and opinions available on the web, the image quality won’t replace a “true” telescope; that isn’t my point. I wanted something for those “what can it be?” moments in summer. Now to run out and get a moon picture.

The iPad app for identifying stars tells me that moonrise is imminent. No mention of the cloud cover. A pity, given that Neptune is just ahead on the ecliptic.

I made a choice this afternoon. Twelve years of phone logs were sent to the shredder. Seriously. There was no moment in the upcoming withdrawal from the workforce where I could see a need to re-read my one liner references to support calls. Changing priorities?

The variety of Twitpics showing alternatives to the iWatch is priceless. Unlike the new arm-tapping toy that has a definite price point. Far beyond my means price point…

Called the plumber (long story) and spoke to his wife. Messages on his website are sometimes flushed… Should have seen that coming. I still have almost two months available before panic (and a search for how to info) begins. I’m sure that I can learn the necessary skills; I’d prefer to have my first, beginner’s leak spring in someone else’s basement.
