Part of the office group were on a roadtrip, yesterday. They dragged home a relic from the past. An old server, with a genuine P3 and some SCSI drives. Still had the old server name (from our system) on a stuck on label. And that “Was that a jet engine?” fan noise when you hit the power switch. Ahh! The good old days.

Wow! For supper, I decided to finish off the stir fry from a couple days back. After two days of hibernation, the microwave woke up the flavonoids. Both hot and spicy! There will be some regret, later this evening, but my food wasn’t bland.

Possessing power (political or financial) seems to be akin to a disease. When you have both; I’d prefer not to go there. Took a few minutes, just now, to watch the final end in a Briar matchup. That’s curling talk. Seems that there are many people who have mastered the art of placing stones in particular places. After throwing/sliding those stones the length of the rink! And the rest of us can barely walk on the frozen surface of their world.

The night ran late, but I hung in there until the Ite missa est was pronounced by Ellen, and the fancy dress group left for the after party. There will be other gala evenings, over the next few weeks, but I doubt that the others will match the mark set with this one. They broke Twitter!

My personal measure of a successful weekend: when the laundry, groceries and supper are done, and I’m still awake. Oh, and it’s not yet midnight. An easy standard to maintain.
