Both hot and spicy!

posted in food, politics |

Wow! For supper, I decided to finish off the stir fry from a couple days back. After two days of hibernation, the microwave woke up the flavonoids. Both hot and spicy! There will be some regret, later this evening, but my food wasn’t bland.

Came close to one of those dreaded moments this morning, when I ventured onto a dark street and immediately found the black ice. Under the white snow. A quick hip twist saved me from a crash landing, but the rest of today has been one of wonder – I wonder if this is going to start hurting. Strains and sprains are like that. After twelve hours on standby, there is no upscale. Good.

If the media coverage and water cooler chatter can be trusted, most of those involved (the taxpaying class of society) are not impressed by the proximity of power to money announced by one political party. Some editorialists ask, openly, what will happen when the interests of the common man align with those of the pretendant to the throne. After all, history hasn’t given us much to hope for.

Still no trace of a missing airliner in southern Asia. No trace. Almost as if an alien craft had come harvesting. All jokes aside, when something like this happens, we quickly realize that all the satellites and radio links and just plain eyes watching can’t find stuff that goes missing over open water. Save that scenario for science fiction. One newspaper site outlined how we’ll be able to make that movie of the week, but only if we find something. Did I mention “no trace”?
