I was ready. Seriously, with bells on ready, at an early hour. Alas, the storm was “too little, too late”. Enough to aggravate the situation on roads, given the “under construction” status we’ve been under for several years now. Enough to remind me how the “wind at my back” is really a good thing.

After watching the news documentary on one of our major prisons, I’ve just added another resolution to my list: don’t go to jail. Instead, pass Go and pick up the $200.

Out to get some air today. The stuff in cans. With what it costs, be glad that you get the breathing kind for free.

Remember all that noise, last spring? The beating of pots and pans? Cue “It’s all coming back to me now”. Anyhow, the student tuition freeze was maintained, on the principle that you could only squeeze the stone so far… or something like that.

A word of advice: if you haven’t tried that mayo and Parmesan recipe that is showing on TV, do so. Really good, and the prep time (under five minutes for setup, plus an hour in the oven) works well when your cooking schedule is scrunched on both ends. This one, I’ll do again.

The turn was wrong, on so many levels. Actually, on one level, but this is my blog; I can overdo things if I choose. We were on the city bus, on schedule, due to make the connection on the university campus. When the bus driver turned right, early, we all took notice. When he pulled over and parked, we came to attention. Full stop.

A sequence that gets things done without leaving any lasting mark. My life. Put the load of laundry into slow cycle. Steer the family taxi into the city centre; impossible to arrive “on time”, given the short notice I receive that a trip will be needed. Head back out along the shore route.
