A TV recipe that rocks
A word of advice: if you haven’t tried that mayo and Parmesan recipe that is showing on TV, do so. Really good, and the prep time (under five minutes for setup, plus an hour in the oven) works well when your cooking schedule is scrunched on both ends. This one, I’ll do again.
While supper was being served, HBO brought us a documentary on one of Canada’s songwriters that doesn’t get enough airplay. Ron Sexsmith. He’s not new, but he is a keeper.
I keep reminding myself that one of my goals is more time for music. Listening, performing, whatever. Remember that this blog does deal with practice (my practice). I’m not doing enough these days. The fingers have lost their callus, yet again. My various, underfed embouchures; let’s not go there. I will do more.
Reading elsewhere that our government (the fed level) is into another omnibus bill. Where you can hide a multitude of sins from the inattentive. Where the average Canadian IS right now. Come on folks… the gang that couldn’t shoot straight is playing in your back yard, and the money for the toys was taken from your pockets when you weren’t paying attention.
The US government has confirmed what I already suspected. The world isn’t going to end in just over two weeks.
Perhaps this whole holiday thing needs some incentive. How about watching the efforts of others to entertain, with strings of lights. Didn’t know it was possible? Now you do. I might have to head on down to the box store for some extension cords first.
