The man behind the curtain

Turns out, there really is a man behind the curtain. Forget Oz; in the world of rock and roll, one man makes the tour happen. At least, according to the documentary we watched during supper.

Don’t jump to conclusions

I really shouldn’t watch the evening news. All too often, I’m left wondering who “forgot their meds”. Seriously. A bit like something out of a lurid graphic novel, if we take today as an example.

Old iron redux

My first real computer qualifies as a classic. A true antique. Almost steam punk. And so, today, as part of the decision tree, I lugged it upstairs and plugged it in. Wiggled the wires, a bit. Did a “warm boot”, a couple of times. And booted, from a diskette.

Comparison shopping

Thank you for paying attention! Last evening, in the quest for the perfect kitchen, I tried limiting my selection AND submitted a request for pricing. Bingo! First thing this morning, a personal email from the associates store, offering real dollar values to fill in the blanks.

Nary a shot

I gave in to pressure. Early this morning, the local grocery offered up some fowl, with nary a shot fired.

Options abound

I’ve found a new way to make my brain explode: shop online for appliances. Could the sites offer any less useful detail?
