First step towards a status of landowner

A slowly deflating air mattress is a great incentive to get up and about. Our backs are starting to bump at inopportune times, so we may have to find the air pump and try to restore our temporary bed to its former firm state. Since we were already up, we gave that extra push and headed into Souris before the urge to eat breakfast became unbearable. In to see the realtor, if you know what I mean.

How did they ever leave home?

History books tell us that in earlier times, men (generally, rather than generic) did gather together their equipment and foodstuffs, and they did set forth to explore the world. They discovered whole continents, the source of mighty rivers, even poles (why a pole?). I’m sitting here, late at night, and I’m puzzled. How did they ever get ready?

In the middle of a storm

I find inspiration in terrible weather. Forget those days when it’s a little wet, or a little cold, or a little anything. Real weather; the kind that makes you stop at odd moments in your march, just to catch your breath and readjust the layers of clothing. A quick stop in St. Peter’s saw us unable to connect to the ‘net, so we hid our dismay from the local population and went on to Souris.

Expensively saving

Once upon a time, people went out the the woods and cut down trees to heat their homes. Not enough trees cut down, you had cold feet. Seems like a balanced way of doing things.

The Handyman Can

Fix it, I mean. One thing about living in a house is that there are endless possibilities for education, in the voc-tech sense. If you haven’t had a chance to learn primitive carpentry, plumbing, electricity, etc. there’s no need to despair; the occasion is probably only a weekend away.
