After several days of careful study, and a ration of advice from others, we made the move. Off to Canadian Tire, with a choice from their web site and some careful instruction for whatever person would assist us. We were given a berth in service, purchased two new deep discharge batteries and requested installation. And with that, our problem looks to be resolved.

Up at the local mall, in a city of 35,000 they have managed to “score” something special. In the eyes of many Islanders, one of the Costco warehouses would be very welcome. While I wait, I go where I am… they had no tiny jellybeans, but we did score some other tiny bargains.

Turns out there going shopping in the city can be very successful, particularly when one has already lived there for decades. No problem to go quickly from one item to another on the list, even when it requires a different merchant for each instance. Today, we got things done.

Today qualified as down time. Inside time. Time spent trying to convince two dogs that not every noise required a round of barking, and that because one barked, the other didn’t need to echo every single syllable. I failed.
