New batteries

posted in travel |

After several days of careful study, and a ration of advice from others, we made the move. Off to Canadian Tire, with a choice from their web site and some careful instruction for whatever person would assist us. We were given a berth in service, purchased two new deep discharge batteries and requested installation. And with that, our problem looks to be resolved.

Sure, we’ll know more after a few days of driving, but we seem to have our autonomy once again.

We spent the afternoon at my sister’s place, in rain showers. There is a series of landings with a wall at each level. The dog stops and waits to see if  a magic door will open in front of him. I guess he is elevator-trained.

We went to a new restaurant for supper; induced deep levels of stress, given that the client number exceeded the available space. Next time, maybe another place.

Still trying to get a grasp of what happened in the US hearings for a new supreme court judge. At last report, the candidate has been accepted, but the FBI is going to do a deep dive on allegations, which could lead to him being rejected. I need a score sheet. Or an alternative to Twitter.

Son #3 received his new computer, this afternoon. Since you get what you order, he may have jumped too fast. His high end video card might fit, but there is no way to power it. I have advised that he shop some more to see if there is a more suitable machine available. If not, he’ll have to lower his expectations until the next buy.
