New players in the confrontation
No need for an ersatz Einstein here. “Insanity is repeating the same mistakes and expecting different results”.

In the continuing saga of state vs students (local to my jurisdiction), the government has offered up a “new and improved” version of their offer dealing with a hike in tuition. In rebuttal, the accredited (more on that later) student groups have offered “a tuition freeze”. I guess not everyone watches soap advertisements on TV. The student version has a “tried and true / been there and done that” flavour about it.

After calculating the risk involved, I’m still going to poke fun at the cries of despair from certain students. Not about assignments, or impending examinations. In fantasyland (not to be confused with the Capitalized version), the latest defense is the “foggy mirror”. You probably used it, if you were ever four years of age. When accused of something, simply say that the other person must have done it to themself. No other explanation possible, or necessary.

The dog is visiting, and believes that going inside and outside, over and over again, is a game. It was, the first few times, but now I’m looking for something to distract her OCD.

Busy with a new book. A good book. Who needs movies, when your imagination can fill in the blanks just fine.

I was flurried twice today. No lasting effect, but I’ve been warned. Find my toque (tuque) and mittens, before things get serious.
