Our house is morphing into a polyglot palace. English, French, Portuguese, Irish, several canine dialects, cough. Yes, indeed. One time for alive, and two or more times for positive that I have the Covid. There are also a growing collection of the test swab decoders on the counter. Today, someone brought a tray of freshly baked sweets, which is an assurance that we are ill, and we are . Next step will be awake at irregular intervals, seeing headache tables from bottles that I could not decode. Another possible symptom of my C-19 status is a reduced appetite. Like many things, it involved the dog. He refused his share of my breakfast. Then, at supper, I refused my share of the lasagna. Rarely seen. We do have overflow space in the fridge, What did people do before Mr. Frigidaire? Portion control, I suspect. No matter. Maybe to family dog took care of plate cleaning.

This morning, the first cohort of our summer visitors headed back home. We now have a few days to tidy things up. We will be ready for round two, I promise you. Of course, simple would be easy. Instead, I have received my first positive test result, which qualifies as negative. As predicted, there are symptoms that cannot be ignored, and I’d hate to give anyone their souvenir of summer. I didn’t want this, I did most things “right” but this is an unforgiving viral load.

This was a day to eat elsewhere. I mean, we did minor collations in the morning, but we were aligned on the supper moment. A family celebration, where you salute the passage to “a year older” with someone who didn’t count the years. Too busy with real life. Career, kids, all the attached moments. And so we took the multiple vehicles to a small restauarnt owned by someone from abother limb of my extended tree.

We have seven additional faces in the house, along with two more dogs. It has been years! Yes, I am supffering from information overload, but the world has to restart. And I will manage.

In the time before chilled air, we didn’t need it. Sure, there warm days, but we just took it as our due. Now that we can hit a switch and lower the uncomfort level, we do. In fact, the chilled air has been on all day long. The added cost (minimal) Is acceptable, and because we’re blowing water-cooled air, I don’t have false conscious attacks.

I don’t know how I would handle the news that my car was “pollible unrecoverable”. From a parking lot. Today, one of my waypoints that serves during late night navigation in our kitchen, moved. A stand mixer, heavy enough to be used in power-lifting competitions. Now in a different section of the ktchen universe, which means that I could get lost.sudden nd mental exercise; now I’ll be expected to grab and go. I know this is a temporary condition, and that we’ll be obliged to restock the drawer. However, some of the scrateced frying pans are also MIA. I don’t know if I want to venture into a carrerole store, and face the barrage of questions about my intended purpose in shopping.
