We live in dark times, indeed. As the depositions continue, south of here, we have learned that cleaning ketchup off the walls is a real task. A real one, when your boss has a hissy fit and launches a burger on a fancy plate to vent frustration. I wasn’t there, but the young office assistant has no reason to fabricate the story.

I studiously ignore the whole science of SEO (you can look up the term.) Don’t do it, don’t care. But just for fun, here’s a phrase that might colour my audience: “AOC for president”. A total=non starter, in reality, but I do wonder who will get detoured.

I risk showing my age (again) but there are a lot of newer recording artists that I do not recognize. Not by their sound. Not by their face. I blame the disaapearace of MuchMusic from my world. Several years ago, when we gathered with the extended family in a huge house, there was one song that seemed to switch some of the younger folks into overdrive. “Good As Hell”. You might know it. Having spent a number of nights, pretzeled into a rail coach seat, I’ve found a new way to dream. Did I mention that the coaches were older than me, and cold? No matter. On YT, you can spy on tourists with money. In some instances, lots of it.

To be filed under “it comes as no surprise”. The SCOTUS has reversed a half-century of jurisprudence, based on a very powerful minority. When your laws no lunger reflect the will of the people, things can get (a new preferred term) mushy. And just like my light switch, perhaps it is time to change your political system. Amend the constitution; that seems to work well. At least, it keeps the citizens aware of the power of laws. I’ll step back now. No need to add any accelerant to a roaring dumpster fire.

One facet of home tenancy is the “I should fix that” list. It doesn’t matter who gets to file the deed in their strongbox, if you live there, you have a list. It could be the screen on the deck door that you barged through, or a squeaky floorboard. For us, we’ve have (had) a mushy light switch.

Here’s some advice: “Always look on the bright side of life”. Succinct. There’s a catchy little ditty with this sentiment. Available on YT, if you’re too young to remember the original rollout. However, if you did watch the movie, from a cheerier time (it means that you are old as dirt).
