The mystery of the Bias Tee
I risk showing my age (again) but there are a lot of newer recording artists that I do not recognize. Not by their sound. Not by their face. I blame the disaapearace of MuchMusic from my world. Several years ago, when we gathered with the extended family in a huge house, there was one song that seemed to switch some of the younger folks into overdrive. “Good As Hell”. You might know it. I didn’t.
Fast forward, to this afternoon. Trending, on the web, is a Carpool Karaoke. James Corden, in a car (on a flatbed trailer, which is safer for all. I did mention “overdrive”. The artist of the day is Lizzo. A power. And I recognized a tune. It took me a few years to catch up, but my back catalogue is still extensive.
Another conviction, down in crazy land. This time, a woman that panders. And the courts got her conviction through before the hit squad arrived. I wish her a long life, in her new “Crowbar Hotel”. She has many rich and famous friends. Maybe they’ll visit her.
Right now, I’m learning about the strengths and weaknesses of the Bias Tee. Apparently my next antenna (en route from the other side of the globe) has one in the package. My challenge: th find an easy way to supply the required voltage, in a portable package. Perhaps a 9V battery. I need to read some more, and see if there is a solution on Reddit, or a forum. Now, back to seeking my cursor.
