Awaiting water

posted in Uncategorized |

In the time before chilled air, we didn’t need it. Sure, there warm days, but we just took it as our due. Now that we can hit a switch and lower the uncomfort level, we do. In fact, the chilled air has been on all day long. The added cost (minimal) Is acceptable, and because we’re blowing water-cooled air, I don’t have false conscious attacks.

So, for the record, how warm is it? Well, somewheres above the 25C point. Chilly, for folks living south of the Mason-Dixon. We’re Canadian. We like our winters cool and our summers clement. This evening, we’ve skipped wandering along the beach. No breeze, and a fear of giving too muuch blood. Check back tomorrow, to see if things are going better.

We did go to the food truck, for lunch. Had to take shelter onder one of the umbrella tents.

I have been told that rain would be nice. The garden, etc. My own take is that it will get wet overnight, but the probs site says to wait for another full day. The garden is less sure.

Now, what else happened today to set it apart from others? Well, the ferry fire is now docked and under control. We’re all waiting to see if cooked cars are a thing. I did note that the ferry company asked owners to stay away for just a little bit longer, while things cool off. How do you test a car, to see if the cooking cycle is complete? No mention, in any of my cookbooks.

Our banana pile is higher than expected. I’m going to have to snack “healthy” for a bit, or discover a suddent talent for making banana bread. I count that as one of my skills.
