Reopening my world
Eventually, the question will come up. Do you remember when people started to visit again after the great reset? Yes, actually I do. Today. We have seven additional faces in the house, along with two more dogs. It has been years! Yes, I am supffering from information overload, but the world has to restart. And I will manage.
Which brings me to another point. What to do about cooking by colours. We had chicken for supper. Could have been a normal production on the BBQ, back in the old days. Today, I hesitated. A steak is simple. Cook until stiff. Same method for a pork chop. But chicken? There, you have to go by the shade of pink, unless you invest in high sciece (think thermometers). I no longer feel prepared to offer a large group. So, we used more standard chicken methods. And now, hours later, we have all been fed. Tomorrow, we’ll go for something different. At least I won’t have sent family to the emergency ward.
The thunder storm warning is over, for now. One growl in the distance. The air can be qualified as heavy, and we’ll sleep under light cover tonight. Unless we get called to an all-night party (very low risk). Think of the children.
And with that, I’m going to try and count my words, and then go to bed. It is getting dark (even for me). I won’t be cold. Did I miss any details? Let me know. Outside, there are foxes. And the children aer fascinated. As are the adults. And me.
