Once burned, twice shy
Last evening we had a rare show. Lightning, with few clouds and less noise. We did the only reasonable thing; turned off most of the lights and watched from the comfort of the living room.
Of course, the hot weather endures. I did go outside to watch a demonstration of a rooftop tent (vehicle, not house). The whole thing works, but apparently it can get really hot inside. I now blame the sun.
My supper was brought in. Pad thai, and I managed to catch most of the extra surprise add-ons. The slice of citrus go through, but I am learning. In fact, given that all of the others were knee-deep in the seaweed with an order of sushi, I conclude that I dodged a bullet. I know; suski is supposed to be good, but I have little experiece with the presentation (many colours). Given my druthers, I went with what I know and understand.
The mini-pack of three dogs are in the house, together. Neutral corner rule in place, and a leash close by, to provide crowd control. It does get loud.
The majority of the cars have been off-loaded from out troubled ferry. The game plan is being revealed. Get the cars back to the owners, and let them deal with their own problmes. There will be issues, and the insurers can’t wait to off-load their responsibility. I am so glad I didn’t travel, that day. Have to make some choices, eventually, but a boat should not catch fire more than one time (once burned twice shy).
