Hoist the flag

Can you compare a newborn flag to the infants of other species? Yesterday, UPEI hoisted their new banner for the first time. I approve, and I hope that the public relations people will be mailing me one, soon.

Food and friends aplenty

Last evening I relented and watched the campfire. It still doesn’t beat HDTV with cable for content, but the colours are SO realistic. My Mythbusters bent had me testing the chemical content of certain foodstuffs with the original gas spectrometer;. For your information, cheesies don’t even burn/ Think about that, the next time a choice for munchies comes up.

Wet tourists

The winds howled and the desk chairs moved from place to place. Rattle and moan, to paraphrase Bono’s gang. Little matter, because we were safely tucked away in a friendly bed in a friendly cottage. The other members of our extended family are now out of vacation chits, but we’ll muddle on.

Special gates

Sometimes it helps to get up before the light of day. Before you can see what you are doing, and have second thoughts. The alarm clock rang. Without hesitation, we leapt out of bed, dressed, had that necessary spot of java and then hit the highway.
