Knowing what to buy, before purchase

Remember when people used to calculate their biorhythms? Although I don’t subscribe to cycles in my daily routine, I believe that my “moving preparations” have reached a low point on the sine wave. A full month no appreciable progress. Go ahead; blame it on the surgery, but the effect is the same. Time to get back to boxing and throwing (away).

Theoretical or practical

In education, there is an artificial horizon. Above, the theoretical and below, the practical. Right now, I’m planning a house, while someone else is actually taking care of the construction. I’m left with the “detailing”.

The man behind the curtain

Turns out, there really is a man behind the curtain. Forget Oz; in the world of rock and roll, one man makes the tour happen. At least, according to the documentary we watched during supper.

After checking on Twitter, I went into this afternoon prepared to download and upgrade (in that order). The appointed hour approached, and a full six minutes early I hit the site. Ready, set, start. Initial estimate “five minutes”. As the clock hand traversed the zenith, the estimate readjusted…

Wire passages

Something to ponder. If a new user of an iPad had to create their proper ID account without an experienced coach close at hand… No, better to avoid that situation. Seriously, how many times should validation be necessary?

Counting failure

Spare time gives me a chance to do things I haven’t done in years. This morning; a round of “crush the expensive boxes”. You see, I’ve always believed in keeping the original packaging for articles that might need warranty service. And after enough years go by, the boxes fill the space allotted. Even small boxes…

Bumped grades

Score another point for cheese. Over breaded pork chops, you get something even better. I should have taken a picture, but I was distracted by the flavour. Maybe next time.

Pick up the pieces

My approaching departure brings many things at work. Not least: a direct request to clean out the clutter. Only fair; I wouldn’t want anyone to hand off to me.
