Simulated schooling
After checking on Twitter, I went into this afternoon prepared to download and upgrade (in that order). The appointed hour approached, and a full six minutes early I hit the site. Ready, set, start. Initial estimate “five minutes”. As the clock hand traversed the zenith, the estimate readjusted…
Twenty minutes… One hour… Two hours…
The rest of the world had joined in the queue. One afternoon later, I left the office with the iPad stowed in a side pocket (cargo pants). Not closing the magic cover until the job completed. And now, I’m an early adopter of iOS8. Things seem faster. Some icons have changed. Stuff is redistributed under “Settings”. Nothing broken.
Big job for today: carry a few computer cartons from here to there. That was it. Sliding into done, slowly. I’ll make it to the finish line in this particular marathon. Any ribbons or medals will be provided (to yours truly) by yours truly.

Now you can spend real money for imaginary knowledge.
Just for fun, I ran the simulation of a bachelor’s degree in education, completed online, and came up with an estimate of more than 50k USD. Cheaper than Ivy League…
