Walking back and forth on the sidewalk can cause blisters. This is not from my own experience; rather, extracted from an overheard conversation. About the side effects of labour unrest. Yes, some of the civil service are still on strike, and the actual gain for society are minimal. Here is the thing. When you are on strike, and you are a member of a union, you receive strike pay. This is not to reward you for productivity. Actually the union is giving you back money saved from your dues, to keep you focused on the goal.

For a number of months, we have had a misty haze view of the arrival date for the new RV but now we know. As of today we have a tentative date to circle on the calendar on our fridge. The delivery driver phoned, to find about how he might get to the nearest real airport, not the beach. And with that, all that we know about the delivery did like most haze, and melted away.

Going forward, will a certain moment in American media be considered as news or entertainment? Unsure. Last week, one of the larger firms in the media firmament received a hefty rebuke from the courts. As in, the largest monetary rebuke in history. No need to go into the why, right now. And those in the limelight were careful to pretend that this was business as usual.

Some tasks from my annual to-do list are undertaken without understanding the who. As in, the mechanical principles involved. I have just spent some quality time with my consumer grade torque wrench, going over the four sets of lug nuts that keep the wheels attached to the car. Always required, after swapping the seasonal tires. And I do the job because I know I should, not because I understand. Why do the nuts get loose, after the first round of travel, but not after the second. Or do they?
