If you work in an office, you quickly learn that some behavior is unacceptable. Not going to create a list of caveats, but one involves office property. You might get away with the occasional pen, or a stapler. When you take your preferred chair home, be prepared to explain why you stand around so much. And as for fifteen boxes, filled with secret documents (so secret, they cannot be listed), expect that things will go badly.

The music never ends, but some of the players have to bow out. Saddened to learn that Judith Durham, of the Seekers has passed away. I am not Australian, but listening to her, I could pretend. A little. Her recordings will still be there, and some of those early video clips. Not quite enough.

This afternoon saw me visiting a disffected school house. Last used in that role before man landing on the moon, so it’s been a while. Now transformed into an upscae summer home, I’ve wanted to see inside for a while, and with familiy staying there, I could finally justify my curiosity. I’ll give then this. Nack in the day, even small rural schools were built solidly. If it were offered, I’d accept the keys to the front door.

Big news, locally. There is a replacement ferry, inbound. Set to solve the difficulty of having a local ferry burn. I know; a near-disaster. Anyhow, rather than taking a season to ponder the problem, the federal government found a replacement. A subsitute ferry, if you will. I don’t understand the politics, but when needed, there are boats standing by.

In Canada, we believe that we are a large nation. And we are, if you count the endless stretches of wilind pderness. In reality, there are other ways to define the “size of the nation”, and in our context we can’t go far based on population. There are certain cities that have a larger census count than this entire nation. Yes, I’m goint to get the the point. Bear with me.
