Newer dhip, inbound
Big news, locally. There is a replacement ferry, inbound. Set to solve the difficulty of having a local ferry burn. I know; a near-disaster. Anyhow, rather than taking a season to ponder the problem, the federal government found a replacement. A subsitute ferry, if you will. I don’t understand the politics, but when needed, there are boats standing by.
The ship is the Saaremaa 1. Constructed in Norway, with an Estonian name, and destined to keep Canadian shores joined. She was berthed (not birthed) in QC, and should arrive at destination as early as tomorrow. Some quick verifications, a test in the loading ramp and then off we go for a daily to and fro. If I play the game, I might even sneak a quick passage to the mainland. The name rools off my tongue, after some practive and a quick YT video or two.
Will the tourists be able to handle the update from the half-century of Fuddle and Duddle? I bet yes.
I almost went out for supper. It’s a family thing. However, I do not choose to nourish the local mosquitoes. I don’t want to wear odd chemistry, nor do I want to overdress for a muggy summer evening. I hope the others will accept my absence.
Sure, having food prepared by othes is pleasant, and in abouther instance, I would request delivery to my table. Very few bugs, in here. OK, I am getting difficult, with age. I’ll take my penance (going to bed, a bit hungry) as my station in life.
