Straight from the still

Don’t leave your shampoo in the campground shower facility, as new owners are lying in wait. It seems that the time of adoption of an unwatched bottle can be measured in minutes.

Circling the fire

My resistance is faltering. Despite my best intentions, I’ve being drawn into the campfire culture.

There isn’t much else to do around a campsite, once the sun has set. Either you decide to sleep by dusk, or you join in the circle. Every tent and trailer location comes with a requisite fire pit, and split wood is available for a price. Over by the salads, there were my aunt and uncle, acting like they belonged there. Out in the corridor by the pharmacy, another acquaintance hollered me over for a quick chat and catchup. That never happens during the winter months.

Nasal drip will not interfere

The middle of the week. Another minor monetary crisis, while we wait for the banking industry to reconcile its goals with our needs. Lesson taught: keep liquidities on hand.

Obsessive compulsive impulsive travels

There are those that shop impulsively.  There are those that eat impulsively/compulsively. Let me add another classification: those that travel impulsively to shop for somewhere to eat. Forget close, when there’s a tank of gas and clear roads. We’re going to town.

Reading by proximity

I read whatever is close at hand. Juxtaposition. Choose your location carefully and there is the benefit of learning something new.
