Already a month since my last visit to this ongoing effort; some effort needed, obviously. The water is starting to run again, outside my office window, although the accumulated snow is probably at it’s deepest since a calendar year ago. Less than two hours left before my bus rides home; the big question is whether I will remember to stop and buy coffee. Long weekend in sight.

Part of my identify crisis, musically speaking, is that I don’t like to practice. I have no problem with the concept. I enjoy playing my instrument while “on task”. I just don’t have the discipline to regularly ignore everything else. Call it a symptom of attention deficit, label it as laziness, accept it as part of my character set. Practice makes imperfect.
