Here we are, basking in the calm after the storm. For those who didn’t know, it is a myth that you can’t have a snow storm with really cold temperatures. A myth, I tell you. Like the first snowfall, on a new day. Catchy lyrics for a hymn or something, should the need arise. The joy of the first snowfall.

This whole get the place ready for winter is taking far too long. I mean, it’s one thing after another. First the annual warm spell before the cool spell didn’t happen; is that what global warming is all about?

Admit it, we all put things off, waiting for a more propitious moment. Any and all reasons are good. Things will work out.
