One of these shoes is not like the other

About this time, each day, I try to put down  something about  my routine that will set it apart from another day. Not always easy, because I do have a mundane  existence. There will be no  movie version of my life, based on the last couple of years.  And so, in the absence of  current memorable moments, I have to dig into my trove of memories, from decades past.

Roadtrip options

My spring sniffles are a distraction. Nothing more. If I sneeze,  it dies not mean what it meant a year ago. I am fine. This too shall  pass. Yada yada. In fact, getting  to sneeze is just me preparing for the summer.

Implausible menu

This  is a holiday weekend, but not nearly as much fun as it could be. For  instance, I am sure that no local restaurant is offering an all you can eat bacon buffet. Do not laugh; I have been to one of those, ages ago. It was advertised as Chinese, but the bacon was the only  item I recall. Pack conformity

When I was eight, we moved to a small town. One with paved streets, and  some sidewalks.  And a critical  mass of boys my own age. I joined the Cub Scouts.

Civic duty

This is election day. At one level. And rarely have I been so detached from the  political reality.

My moor mystery

Many years  have passed since high school. Still, there is a deep mystery associated with English class. As off to those teachers that were willing to spend weeks trying to convince adolescent males that this was even relevant.  The people decipher abbreviated names. But, a deeper mystery than even that. Who were the Brontes?

Commentary optional

Recently, someone asked what was in my bucket list, meaning what is remaining. Impossible to answer. My expectations are modest, and since the relative cost of anything is not something relatable, I don’t actually have one.
