To the enterprising young man that phoned earlier, referring to me as “Grandpa” and asking if I still remembered him: please call back. I have so many questions. Are we related through your mother or father? Have you met my dog? Do you like long swims off a short pier? As a genealogist, I’m always seeking new family connections, and you could add a whole (as yet unexplored) limb to my research tree. Please, call back. After all those calls about my iPhone headed for China, I need some comic relief.
