A premier swap?

If son #1 happens to check in here (instead of partying like you are on a tropical beach), rest easy. Your pipes have not exploded in the -40C temperatures you happen to have avoided. Carry on.

Seriously. Even the dogs are doing sprint squats outside. Fear of anchoring sensitive body parts. This, too, shall pass (according to the Weather Channel). Meanwhile, it’s nice to be inside and warm.

The Island is preparing for a premier swap. Tag team governance. I have a problem, like many others, with a system that allows people from a partisan group to choose the effective chief of government outside of the election process. The answer is for the request of dissolution and expensive campaigns (the actual polling process is but a fraction of the total money flush): still not clear if the new emperor will do so.

Reading, with interest, about standing desks. That’s where you move the websurfing individual from one support point to two (use your imagination). Supposed to ease ailing backs… I’d spend the money, if it would ease the optic that “he’s just standing around instead of working”. Observers can be cruel.

Newspaper stories that raise more questions than answers… “Border guards want the right to chase those who fail to stop for questioning, after a man blew by them and then abandoned his car.before fleeing on foot. He was later arrested, 19km away.” Did he run all the way? How long did he take? Was he a marathon contestant?

And the final question: When will we know?
