Distracting all within earshot

Some fads come along at the wrong time. After seeing a mention of a “stress reduction device for the office”, I had to peek. In essence, an expensive “fidget spinner”. You might have heard those mentioned as the newest plague to invade the teaching zone in a school near you. I’m now left trying to imagine the reaction my department head (or the nice people over in HR) might have given, if I had placed a few of these in plain view.

Besides, the old style clicking pen does a wonderful job of distracting all within earshot.

In preparation for our evening in concert (later this week), I went online and purchased the download version of the new album from Còig (from Cape Breton). I figure that there are some benefits to avoiding the merch table. No need to bring extra plastic into the house. No need to “rip” the music into a more computer-friendly format. Finally, I leave the chance to buy to another fan. The group can’t have an unlimited supply in the back of their van, dontcha know.

Finally, I sat and tried to follow the convoluted logic of Jeff Sessions (an important pawn on the Trump Board), this afternoon. Quite apart from the accent (please, remove that peach before speaking, sir!) the story just doesn’t add up. If this is the best and brightest in the judicial arm, then the limb has truly withered. How will that nation restore a semblance of law and order, if the top cop is lacking common sense?
