End this insanity of clock-changing

posted in humour |

Please, end this insanity of clock-changing twice a year. I’m not through the day, but my confusion is intense. Am I hungry now? Should I be going to sleep?

In unrelated ramblings, the coffee machine is cleaned. A little light came on, I put the magic pill in place and in minutes calm returned.

Those people that post full-length movies to YouTube deserve praise. Where else can I find hours of distraction, watching efforts from before my birth. On this afternoon’s list, I had Suddenly and Detour. Old cars, murders and mayhem. Even the occasional train. All I needed was some stale popcorn and the double-feature would have been complete. Plus, the day isn’t over yet.

How to keep track, with two separate federal party leadership marathons underway. Oh, right… I don’t have voting privileges. I can still chortle at the insanity.

The warning on the news caught me off guard: “Canadians who make large cash transactions or win big at the casino could end up with a federal agency scrutinizing their Facebook pages”. There are people that spend money (or go to casinos)? Neither case fits MY lifestyle, so I invite the Big Brother to check my profile. Perhaps there might be a reason for “him” to send a little large my way.

Another note: a university degree no longer comes with the promise of a stable job. Did it ever? I remember years of underemployment, when I sallied forth with that psychology/music mix that caused the university to issue my degree. True, I never had to work in a stable….
