An odd extra period of time
What with the Games coverage replacing my usual evening news broadcast/forecast, I’m doing things that are outside my normal experience. This evening, I watched a good part of the women’s soccer match involving FR and CA. I saw the expected running back and forth. I watched someone get a yellow card, which I’m told doesn’t give the team any extra points. I watched the majority of that odd extra period of time that is added after a game has ended regulation time. Not all of it, though; the phone rang. But, CA still won, so I guess that’s good.
More interesting was a win on trampoline. I didn’t realize that the various moves are much more difficult than anything attempted by people falling (diving?) into the big, green pool. So, why do they insist on continuing wet sports when the tramp can do so much more?
Around here, the word is out that our dog is trying to recover various seats with extra fur. The car was into “rolls and rolls” of the stuff in the rear where he sits and shakes. Had to get the vacuum and rubber brush involved to gather in the harvest.
And beyond that, not much else on the agenda. We have visitors, which puts me on good behavior. No sleeping on the couch during prime time, etc. A little more attention to portion management during meal times, to avoid sudden empty plates. Oh, and the meteor showers will be a scratch again this evening. Cloud cover… year after year, cloud cover…
