Satisfied with the towel exchanges

posted in pets, travel |

When in doubt, study. And so, with other consideration in play to keep me close to home base, I did. Now, I wonder if my limits are too close to the redline, or 0dB as my textbook calls it.

A couple of days ago, in the magazine section of a bookshop near here, I picked up one of those special edition issues, dealing with “Ultimate Production Tips“. Essentially, a review of all the matter I covered some months ago during one or two of my MOOC. Practical stuff, except that like so many other things, I still need the hands’ on, along with the theoretical.

It makes for interesting, if confusing reading matter. I can’t hear what they’re talking about, and so I have to imagine what the end result might be. You know, those screen shots of hundreds of virtual knobs and sliders don’t mean a whole lot, out of context.

I may fall back on the growing garden of iPad apps; there has to be something related in there. Make some noise, so to speak. Tomorrow. This day is running out of minutes.

The dog and I are settling into a pattern of nap-walk-nap-eat-walk that goes well with air conditioning  and fast food. The dog wants more walk than me, and about an equal amount of caloric input (as long as I am the sharer and he the sharee). We also talk to random strangers; dogs draw out the chattiness of people.

And we had a quick visit from the “head of housekeeping” to make sure we weren’t feeling cheated on the towel exchanges.
