Canine social media
By the time I had boiled my water on the ever so useful campstove, for a second time since sunrise, the dog wanted my attention. Prepare my coffee, but while things cooled down, we should leash our collective spirit and go for a wander. Up the lane to the campground, where every other dog has already gone. You can see where this is actually going.
I keep wanting to employ the rare word “miasma”. The traces left by hundreds of hounds must amount to something that only a curious canine nose can appreciate. We went, and when sufficient trace of our travels had been left, we returned to the cooled coffee.
The combined calm and sunlight had given me inspiration. With a macro lens, those wild flowers that lined our trail could be immortalized! I know; the ephemeral nature of a digital photo is closely matched to the subject matter, but I wanted to get out there and frame a few. If my connectivity was more constant, I would share. For now, use your imagination, just like in the good old days.
My video sprint, for the third and fourth week of the online course, is complete. Sitting in a car, with a laptop, is a viable method of acquiring content.
Meals, today, were furnished by the Sheltered Harbour Cafe, exclusively. Rarely have two campers so overindulged on short ribs. We also spent some quality time at the East Point lighthouse gift shop, meeting with future neighbours. I also made a quick stop to eyeball that vineyard and get tiny pictures of tiny grapes.
