A suitable dessert

posted in travel |

Rather proud of my travel time estimations. Today, we arrived at our destination, a whole minute in advance. That included a bagel break, so I can’t be accused of fudging the stats.

Seriously, once the eye appointment had ended, there was nothing else planned. Yesterday, my designated driver tried out an electric bicycle. I did not see how I could manage as a passenger, but thought no more about the question. Today, she purchased a similar contraption. Guess I’d better start pondering the next step. Seriously, I now have to find a parking spot in the home garage. Before that, we have to calculate how the bike will make the long uphill trek. The car has no carrier (yet).

Lunch was a picnic in the park while listening to some of the Vinyl Café back catalogue. Be careful who you invite to feed the fish in your new home…

Of course, a picnic would be incomplete without dessert; ours involved cheesecake at Casa Mia. I mean, the parking spot was right beside their patio, which allowed the dog to assist vicariously. The dessert was too rich for his blood.

Still a large number of new homes under construction in the greater Charlottetown area. Is a double garage the new status symbol? I may never know.  My own priorities are different (a double bike locker, perhaps?)

And with that, we were off to visit friends in the country. Another “ready to retire” kindred spirit, with far more projects than time to pursue. Do employers ever consider how they hamper the creative gene?
