Was she break-dancing?

posted in humour |

What about the medley? As in, the art form of…

I have come across a musical masterpiece, recorded somewhat more than a year ago ago. In it, a selection of twenty songs (excerpts, to add precision) from the back catalogue of the Beatles. Familiar name, familiar tunes. Covering nine years of creative mastery. My opinion. Here’s the thing: everything meshes, as if this was according to some greater plan. You might not find your “best song ever” in there, but you won’t find any damp spots either.

We can find a medley to be tiresome (yes, Christmas). But, this one stands firmly on the top step. The required link: https://youtu.be/rfOx4CmQWLs

The Western world just held the observance (I almost went with celebration, but my common sense stepped up). And the Queen was MIA. Out with a back sprain. I have to wonder. Isn’t she a bit old for breakdancing, or pole vaulting or whatever way the athletic world gets set off from routine? Was someone on her team missing the beat in the dance routine? Get well soon, your Majesty. Or is your Highness? I really need to practice my protocol speak.

Recently published: a comparison of the acidity levels in commercial bottled water. Bubbly water, for those who wondered. I guess there was a box of test strips around the lab, and it seemed like a great idea. I wish they would test my SodaStream production. I don’t have any test strips, and I’m too lazy to go online and source them. During my next visit to a high school chemistry lab, I’ll remedy that lack.
