Now ready for my summer
This was a good day, what with things fitting into my timetable for a change. I have been anxious about getting the van ready for summer, but there were extenuating circumstances; I needed a drain plug. I decided to proceed, this morning, leaving the hot water section for another time, when along came an email announcing that the drain plugs had just been delivered. With the final “brick” in hand, I completed my list of things that get done. We have hot water, along with the other amenities.
As well, my solar panel order is in town, and should be here sometime tomorrow morning. Now to prep my cables and get set for a recharge test on the solar generator. Imagine; all ready for the solstice!
Politics is just a polite name for theatre that costs too much. Today, the federal opposition (they like to oppose the efforts of others) decided to withdraw their members from the “national security committee”. Loud remarks that there were shenanigans across the aisle. You know, I figure the committee will get on just fine without the “peanut gallery”, and I look forward to their request to return to their “rightful place”. It will happen, especially in the absence of elections. What a foolish way to get headline space.
I don’t really care, but the NHL playoffs are continuing. What was forecast as a one-sided effort is now tied 1-1, which keeps the spectator interest up. What a pity if people watched other stuff on TV, leaving the advertisers hungry for eyes. And no, I won’t be in front of the screen.
