Roundabout, minus the cars
MY favourite taster channel on YouTube (“TRY”) went on a deep dig this afternoon. Who dreamed up a comparison of various jelly bean flavours? The packaging, in some cases, had the intrigue thing, but overall there wasn’t much punch to the show. I’ll be back when you do something more interesting: odd beers from the East, for example.
Time to go elsewhere. The CBC website, for example. Nothing depressing about watching the pandemic ramp up, right? Seriously, this summer will probably be hot and lonely. Of course, I didn’t go straight to the news; a presentation on the various techniques used to record Roundabout by Yes was good for my suppertime intro. Actual content. In fact, I’m going to have to get to the whole album (because fifty years, etc). I will also have to listen to this video, again, because there is just so much content. Imagine a semester with Mr. Beato as the professor!
The question that comes to mind, for me, is how does he get the release rights for so much good music, in a world where the dreaded copyright monitors are omnipresent. More study require….
Now back to my check on current news content.
Ontario just called in the army to fight the pandemic. Bigger than a snowstorm! Out west, the hospitals are heading for their own version of bedsitter overflow, while locally we’re keeping things in order. No wonder the moat was so important, back in the days of yore. Seriously, we aren’t winning the war, any time soon. I so want to be vaccinated!
