Instant amazement
It’s not just a rumour; I can be amazed by simple things. Just now, I watched the combination of some olive oil and some vinegar, when combined with various extracts from other plants, miraculously transform into “salad dressing”. Now, every time I see one of those odd-shaped containers in a supermarket, I’m going to wonder about the ingredients. Are they, too, just a way to have us eat oil and vinegar in an expensive wrapping? I asked someone else, here, and it appears to be so.
Outside, the snow has been falling since dawn. Tiny, tiny particles that are adding up to be a real accumulation. Why, the lane guy has already come and gone, and I suspect he’ll have to return for a “do-over”. Ditto for my deck, where tomorrow had better be a great day for some physical effort. I wonder if the dog could be cross-trained?
Speaking of dogs, I watched a long, involved video where someone created a harness (more like a saddle) in order to strap a camera to his retriever’s back. I don’t know how to TIG weld, or I would be so into this. The producer confessed that he had purchased most of the required pieces; the over-the-back-and-around-the-belly strapping, the aluminum straps, the gimbal mount for the camera, the camera. Little matter; having my very own dog wander movies would be worth it. OK, true; my dog isn’t allowed to wander. Instead, I could strap the assembly to ME and then we could wander as a team. Hollywood would never recover.
