Training for the trains, etc.
At some point, I may have to get into a comfortable position and watch a lot of old movies. Specifically, something about Star Wars. Yes, I am aware of the basic premise, but due to my exiting the world of popular culture for a very long time, I haven’t seen all the movies. Haven’t really seen any of them, actually.
To complicate things, the gang at Disney has a new TV series this year. When IMDB bestows a rating of 9.1, there just might be something happening there. And now the real question: in what order should I watch them. Chronological, or by date of release? At least I will get a proper showcase of CGI along the way.
Trying to convince son #3 to apply for a “real job”. One with a pension plan… He may have found something that offers better than twice his current salary, but hesitates at committing to more than a week of training. How to announce that anything of value requires putting in some serious time. You know, like a half-decade of post-secondary education. (I checked the job ad, and it may entail up to six weeks of formation). What to respond?
Came across a video of someone playing with their pet timber wolf. Boy, is my dog underwhelming! I wonder what sharing your home with a canine that is “as big as a pony” would be like? I guess sharing a common bed would be out of the question. And my food bowl would be an accessory. Maybe that’s why the domestication team drew the line at something that howls for the fun of it.
