Up close and personal spectatorship

posted in media, sports |

Two afternoons in a row with championship football. Colour me unaccustomed.  This time around, the Grey Cup game, which I’m watching “up close and personal” on my tablet.

That’s a first, and times in our sat TV additional channel. I needed to download an app, naturally, and then try to figure out my credentials. Seems that my provider isn’t who I thought it was. Minor league stuff.

Anyhow, I’m learning that it all comes down to a love of country music (the pre-game show was painful) and an appreciation for quick shoe swaps. Getting a TD and falling on your butt is amusing for the rest of us, but hardly the stuff you want included on that career highlights video. I learned that a “spiral pattern” on the sole is called a destroyer. Love to know the back story there.

Is there a half-time performance, in Canadian terms. It would make sense; I’ll know in a few minutes. Wanted to get this post online before I got too immersed in the game.

We learned that trying to run a small heater, in the RV, requires picking the right wall plug – popped the breaker in the garage, which also took the freezer offline. Only a matter of minutes, but it keeps us aware that adding a circuit might be a good choice, should the opportunity arise. You know; if the electrician is here, doing other stuff. I still lust after a steam shower. We’ll see what happens.

I just read that implanted medical devices in Canada receive insufficient oversight. Oh, great! Does my bionic eye count?
