But was it lodestar or loadstar?
Into September; we’ve still checking off the restaurants on our short list. This evening, a trip over to the harbour in Covehead, for some fresh fish. At least, I assume it was fresh. After the batter is applied and you get a bath in a deep fryer, anything is possible. I especially appreciated that the gates of the Park are now open (as they should be, all the time). Hard to believe that the government considers that as a money maker.
I don’t get up to that area, as often as I should. Some wonderful examples of over the top housing. When I see some of these palaces, and then realize that the owners only come about during warm weather, I’m amazed. Not my plan of action.
Thanks to CBC, I learned a little about forensic text analysis. That’s where someone tries to decipher the authorship of an article (in this case, an op-ed without a name in a big newspaper). The word “lodestar” seems important. Or was it originally “loadstar”, and the proofreaders messed up? It happens. In any case, the puzzle remains, two day onward, and although the president is frenzied, there’s still no sign of an imminent resignation.
Perhaps I pay too much attention to the spiral, but the effects on things closer to home are obvious. Do you realize how many Americans have come through here, expressing envy over our saner lifestyle? If they ever learn how to emigrate, we might have to put limits on which ones get to join our party. You know, in case of subliminal insanity.
