Brick walls available

posted in environment, genealogy |

There are certainly better ways of preparing meat for my BBQ. I’m not interested. As long as the meat comes off, cooked, with a minimum of char I believe I’ve won my battle. This evening, pork. Earlier in the cycle, beef. The process varies only in minor detail. Yes, I do add a touch of seasoning, and I’ve learned to wait until the grill is hot before offering up my sacrifice. Other than that?

This was another day spent close to home. Lovely temperatures. Rabbits galore (I wonder how they respond to a hot grill?) The neighbour appears to have invested in a “sports car”, old and abused, so he took the opportunity to race up and down the straight stretch. Time to get on eBay and find (a) a speed gun and (b) a set of those spiked belts that the forces of order deploy on TV. That should reduce the ripple effect in the atmosphere.

Last week, I placed an online order for some textbooks, from Cork. They arrived today. That is astonishing, given that I paid only for normal postal service. Of course, more textbooks means more study, but I’m good for it. Trained in the service, so to speak.

Over the weekend, I took on the challenge of finding “roots” for someone from away. Today, a ten-generation fanchart. If only my own efforts were as fructuous. No need for the orange fella to “build a wall”; there are plenty of “brick walls” out there that family tree climbers would gladly offer up to his cause.
