Skipped harvesting

Listening to nothing, when the volume soared. A murder of crows, hard at it. That’s odd; we rarely hear them, but this time around they were unhappy. Out, over the south field, an obvious intruder. A raptor. Not my friend the eagle; this may have been a harrier. Too much sun for me to be sure, although the wife did snap a few photos “on the wing”. Mustn’t get complacent, because there are a lot of birds around.
