Sail away from a new found land

A trip along the arterial road and a stop at the mall were the final touches to the Port-aux-Basques  leg of the trip, before committing ourselves to the compound. First time for everything; we underwent a complete agricultural inspection to assure we hadn’t included any soil in our luggage. Given the short supply of soil here, it seems like a reasonable measure.

No lack of trains

To bring closure to our first Tour of the Rock, we found the way to the other ferry terminal. Or to within sleeping distance, at least. Tomorrow morning, the drive should take about one minute, more or less. We found a few other things, along the way.

Vikings and ice

 

Not for the first time while on this trip, we played the game of “Should we stay or should we go”? After a fortuitous meet with some other like-minded and more experienced bikers,  the game was decided. To the northern tip, all sails set.
