Almost a fortnight
Time for a status update. After a fortnight, the blue0eyed pooch has returned to base, as his pack is back to full strength. More room for me to stretch out. As it turned out, doubling the number of dogs around the place was easy. Kept the foxes on full alert, and I had to watch for water bowls, but no big deal.
Do we have any urge to get a second furry friend? No. I am too old for that sort of entertainment.
Watched some more content on how to get a satellite antenna up into the clear. Might be tougher than I thought, but summer is coming, and there are sure to be experts in the field, in my field. We shall see what happens.
Other than that, I remain moderately healthy, wealthy and wise. Balanced. Actually more than many of my ancestors had, at the same point on their timelines, so I will accept my lot, as given. I do miss curling up with a good book. Or magazine. I took the time to pull some volumes from my own bookshelf, but the print seems to have faded from the pages. Odd.
A question that comes back to haunt me is if I am still making music. Let me go with less. Part of performance goes beyond the listen part. You need to see what your fingers are doing, and that part escapes me. Just like on the keyboard, you can get your hands out of place on an instrument, and the results are less than stellar. I need to sit in the dark and concentrate, long term. Soon.
Running out of excuses, I am. Please do not judge me. I still hear the tunes in my head, and that tells me that all is not lost.
